Personal Training Programmes

Our friendly and experienced personal training team will give you the constant support you need to achieve your goals. Personal training differs from one trainer to another according to their personalities and different areas of expertise, that’s why you will always receive a free consultation with your trainer to ensure they’re the perfect fit. You can check out our team before you head to the gym, or you can ask any of our team about a personal training programme in person at the York Sport Village or York Sport Centre.

These sessions can be booked at any time convenient for you, just ask at the York Sport Centre reception, York Sport Village reception or the fitness desk in the York Sport Village gym. You can also email info@york-sport.com for more information.

KickStart packages are available if you would like to see how they can benefit you. These cost £50 for five 30 minute sessions done at your convenience. These sessions can be booked at York Sport Village reception or the fitness desk in the York Sport Village gym. You can also email info@york-sport.com for more information.

Personal Training Programmes:

Your programme will be delivered to you by one of our qualified Fitness Instructors and will be accessible to you via the York Sport Wellness App. Speak to one the fitness instructors at the Gym Desk TODAY for advice and to book yourself a programme.

Beginners Programme

The beginners programme is designed for individuals who have little to no experience with fitness or resistance training. The programme will be an introduction to cardiovascular and resistance machines providing a full body workout, including core strengthening exercises.

Intermediate Programme

The intermediate programme is designed for those who have experience with using gym equipment and use the gym regularly. This programme is perfect if you are looking for some new exercises to add to your routine, incorporating free weight exercises. The programme is based on your goals, whether that be strength and muscle gain, or fitness and fat loss.

Advanced Programme

The advanced programme is designed to take your fitness to the next level incorporating different cardiovascular and resistance training techniques. This programme begins to progress your training into muscle group focused based sessions, involving a four day training split.

Advanced Programme – Top Up

The advanced programme Top Up is designed for those who have purchased the advanced programme and wish to mix up their routine. We recommend the top up roughly 8-12 weeks after following the programme.

You can book your personal training sessions with the fitness team at both York Sport Village and York Sport Centre. Please note that York Sport Centre members may need to complete their training sessions at York Sport Village at no extra cost.
