  • New Pool Rules Policy 2023

From Monday 18 September 2023 we will be introducing a new policy regarding footwear in our York Sport Village Swimming Changing Room.

This new policy introduces the following rules.

We are asking our customers to take off or change their outdoor footwear before entering our York Sport Village Swimming Changing Room facilities, including our swimming changing room shower cubicles and public changing areas.

Use of indoor footwear (multi-shoe covers and flip flops) or bare feet will only be permitted in these areas from Monday 18 September 2023. York Sport reception desk also offers purchase options for indoor footwear.

The outdoor footwear can be put away either in the shoe storage compartment located in our facility lockers, where a one pound coin or locker token is required.

To coincide with this new policy introduction, we have introduced brand new benches next to our reception area, where shoes can also be stored during your visit.

Please note that footwear and property left in this area are of the responsibility of the owner and not the liability of York Sport.

Any property left unattended is done so at your own risk, and we are unable to guarantee its safety.

Tokens or £1 coins can be used to access and secure our lockers which should aid in keeping your valuables safe. Tokens can be acquired from reception for the cost of £1 should you need one.

To find out more about these options please speak to a member of reception when you next visit.
