Bookings for one third of a 3G Football pitch, a 3G 5-a-side pitch, Tennis, Badminton and Squash courts can all be booked online using the York Sport Hub.

York Sport Village
The following activities can be booked online within 7 days in advance via the York Sport Hub:
- 3G 5-a-side Cage Pitch hire and 3G 7-a-side Pitch (1/3 full sized 3G pitch) hire.

The following activities can be booked online 7 days in advance via the York Sport Hub:
- Court Hire (Squash court hire, Tennis court hire and Badminton court hire).

Swimming Pools Hire
Our competition-standard eight-lane 25m pool and 18m four lane training pool are amongst the best in the region and perfect for serious lane swimmers or families looking for fun. We also have our very own multiple award-winning swim scheme!
The swimming pool is open to the public daily. Pool access is included in all of our memberships, with members benefiting from exclusive access at certain times indicated on the timetable through our members changing rooms. Our non-member guests (including 10-for-8 card holders!) are welcome to use our public changing rooms.

York Sport Cycle Circuit Hire
Our 1km circuit provides freedom for your group in a safe and traffic free environment. Our cycle circuit is home to the Heslington Parkrun on Saturday mornings and has hosted triathlons, fun runs, roller skiing, human powered racing events and cycle races. The circuit is perfect for every event.
Whether you are looking to hire it for your own sessions or wish to hire one of our coaches and bikes too, we can cater for everything.
Looking for a place to practice your cycling, train as a group or even host an event?
Whether you’re a school looking for a more exciting PE lesson, a manager looking for a team building day, or a club looking for a training facility, we’re the perfect choice! We have some of the best cycling facilities in York, all hosted at York Sport Village.

3G Pitches Hire
York Sport Village is home to four 3G football pitches including; 3 five-a-side pitches and 1 fully floodlit competition size 3G football pitch, which can also be split into 3 seven-a-side pitches.
All of our pitches are available to hire as part of a team, or for just you and your mates having a friendly kick-about.
WHAT IS 3G?
All pitches at York Sport Village have a 3G surface, this means they are all synthetic pitches which feel, look and play like grass in virtually all weather conditions. The main difference between these and other AstroTurf pitches is a layer of rubber under the grass to help absorb shock.

York Sport Centre Facilities
Court Hire
Our Tennis, Badminton and Squash Courts are accessible all year round. Our six tennis courts, three of which are located inside The Bubble: a large floodlit tent that allows play to continue in all weather.
We also have fifteen badminton courts available across our sport halls, and four squash courts with a viewing gallery.
If you are playing regularly, you can become a Racquet Affiliate giving you discounted court hire and bookings up to 10 days in advance.

Grass Pitches
If you fancy playing on a real grass pitch, York Sport Centre has grass pitches suitable for Football, Rugby, Lacrosse, Cricket and Rounders.

JLD AstroTurf
York Sport Centre has a floodlit synthetic sand-based pitch that allows play to continue in most weather conditions. The playing surface is well-suited to a range of sports, including Hockey and Football.

Athletic Track Hire
Our floodlit regional standard athletic stadium is home to City of York Athletics Club. The facility boasts an eight lane 400m track, with provision for all athletic field sports, and seating for 4750 spectators. There is also a pavilion to support athletes, coaches and officials.
You can pay-as-you-go to run on the track, or make a booking for full & half day events. You can view availability of the track on our Athletics Timetable.
Hall & Arena Hire
York Sport Centre is equipped with one Sports Hall, and an arena that can be split into 3 sports halls. They are equipped to host a wide range of sports, including badminton, volleyball, netball, five-a-side football, basketball, indoor cricket nets, table tennis, martial arts and futsal.
