Junior Triathlon Course: Autumn Term
Weekly Bike/Run/Transition Sessions
Monday 2nd September 2019 – Friday 21st December 2019 (excluding October half term: Monday 28th – Friday 1st November).
Each weekly session will focus on cycling, running, transition skills and conditioning, lead by fully qualified British Triathlon & British Cycling coaches.
We have three separate weekly sessions for different age groups, attending the same group each week.
*Tristar & Tristart is British Triathlon’s name for children’s age groups in Triathlon. More information can be found on the British Triathlon website. Age groups have been organised based on the age of the children by December 31st 2020. This is to avoid the disruption of moving groups again in January 2020.
£82.50 for 15 weeks (£5.50 per session), payable in advance on booking.
We would prefer participants to bring their own bike and helmet to the sessions. If this is not possible, we can currently offer both bike & helmet hire on a first come first served basis (additional £26.25 for 15 weeks or £1.75 per session)

Please make sure children are wrapped up warm, gloves, hats and a rain jacket are also recommended.
We suggest you wear comfortable clothing, preferably no dresses or skirts to avoid anything getting caught in bike wheels or chain. Strictly no sandals.
Layering clothing is the best way to stay warm and you can always shed a layer if you get too hot.
A bottle of water will help to keep you hydrated.
In order to ensure the smooth running of lessons we ask that parents would not enter poolside
Please ensure that you arrive in enough time to change and arrive on poolside just before the session.
Please also remember to bring a water bottle to keep hydrated during swim sessions.
Don’t forget your swim hat if you have long hair and your swimming goggles.
York Sport Triathlon Swim hats must be worn for all triathlon swim sessions.

What happens if there is bad weather?
The sessions will go ahead each week unless there is significantly bad weather.
The coach will check the weather forecast the morning of a session and make a call if the weather is particularly bad. If there is indoor space, the coach will email and call the parents and let them know the session has been moved indoors. If no indoor space is available, the session will be cancelled and parents will be notified by email in the morning and refunds will be given for that session.
