Our range of simple and flexible memberships make joining York Sport Village an easy decision! We’re here to help you stay active.
Conveniently located
York Sport Village is located on the east campus of the University of York.
The 66 and 67 buses stop right outside York Sport Village every 15 – 20 minutes. Outside of University terms, these times may differ. For up-to-date information on bus timetables, please visit the First Bus website.
We also offer free parking on site.
Facilities
Membership at York Sport Village includes access to our gym, swimming pools and health suite as well as free entry to all of our classes.
All members must attend their health and safety induction, at which you will be given your membership wristband that allows you access to the facilities.
Gym
In 2018 we invested £300,000 in an extensive refurbishment of our 120 station fitness suite. We offer members exclusive access to our cardio, strength and resistance training equipment as well as our free weight and stretch areas.
Our gym has the space you need to enjoy your workout, and the variety to keep you challenged. All of our cardio stations are equipped with integrated screens, allowing you to watch TV, listen to radio, play games or access the web while you stay active.
Classes
Members get free access to a great range of over 75 classes per week with high-impact aerobic classes like Body Pump and Metafit, as well as lower-impact sessions like Yoga and Pilates. Members can also access a selection of on-demand classes, giving you the flexibility to train from home!
Swimming Pool
Our eight lane, 25m swimming pool is perfect for serious lane swimmers and casual swimmers alike. We also have an 18m, four lane swimming pool which is ideal for families looking for fun.
Health Suite
Our members only health suite is equipped with a sauna and spa pool, allowing you to unwind after your rewarding workout.
3G Pitches
We have four fully floodlit 3G pitches consisting of 3 five-a-side pitches and a full-sized pitch.
They feel, look and play like grass in all weather conditions. All pitches are available for league and match bookings or one-off kickabouts.
Cycle Circuit
Our 1km floodlit cycle circuit is the perfect place to practise your cycling, train as a group or host an event.

**Student Saver membership entitles access to the gym, pool, classes and health suite between 06:00 – 16:30 (last entry 15:30) and 21:00 – 22:00 Monday to Friday, and 12:00 – 17:00 at weekends.

For York Sport Village members the Centre Bolt-On gives you full access to the York Sport Centre.
If you are joining on a student, concession or corporate membership please bring relevant ID with you to your induction.
All new memberships are subject to a £10 wristband fee (non-refundable).
